From beautiful award-winning gardens, a blissful opportunity to enjoy a canal boat ride, to a delightful enchanted forest with its giant swings, zip wires and Crusoe’s World, Groombridge Place (near Tunbridge Wells) is a destination for you and your family to enjoy a truly memorable day out.
The Gardens include a formal Knot and Oriental Garden, a Secret Garden, the white rose garden and the wonderfully named Drunken Garden, a favourite of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. There's also a giant chess set for kids to discover.
The enchanted forest presents a magical world of mystery and intrigue, including giant tree swings, zip wires and rope swings, wooden bridges, a maze and Crusoe’s World!
The daily programme of events is free with admission and includes the opportunity to meet animals in the enchanted forest including: deer, goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys, alpacas, reindeer, Shetland ponies and the world famous zedonk (half donkey, half zebra)!
There are also new baby animals, the cute Golden Guernsey kids, Stumpy and Bobby and the little Kunekune piglets.
Admire the beautiful peacocks from the newly refurbished ‘Peacock Bistro' and see daily Birds of Prey displays (excluding Mondays).
