A Day out with Thomas The Tank Engine  at the  Kent & East Sussex Railway on Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th February 2013
 
The Fat Controller will be causing a locomotion at Druillas Park on Sun 17th February and on Wednesday 20th February Captain Barnacles will make a splash when he visits Drusillas Park for a fun-filled adventure. Sailing into uncharted waters, the brave leader of the Octonauts will dive into the action and embark on a meet and greet mission appearing at various intervals throughout the day.

Wondering what to do with the kids this half term, why not spend the day at Yesterdays World where kids go free when accompanied by a full paying adult!!
 
Norman & Saxon Quest at Battle Abbey Hastings on Saturday 16 February – Sunday 24 February 2013: 10am - 3pm. Find all the miniature Norman and Saxon soldiers around the grounds of Battle Abbey to receive a small prize!
 
Brighton Science Festival Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th February 10am-5pm. A weekend of science fun for kids aged 7-14 and their parents. The one day every year when parents and their children can share the best science demonstrations and hands-on activities.
 
Camber Castle Wildlife & History on Sun 17th February 1pm - 4pm. A chance to go inside Camber Castle, visit the bird watching hide at Castle Water and see the wetland wildlife there. Meet at Brede Lock, Harbour Road, Rye at 1pm.
 
Drop-in to Rye Harbour Village Hall between 11am and 3pm on Tuesday 19th February.  An event with something for all ages: meet the team from Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, virtual tour, mini-rockpooling, arts & crafts, games and much more.

Aliens & Invaders at WWT Arundel Wetland Centre on Saturday 16th to Sunday 24th February 9:30am - 4:30pm. Discover what alien wildlife that has made its home in the UK & which invading plants that are causing problems in our habitats.

Half Term Hands on History at The Novium, Chichester. At various times throughout the half term. Get up close to real and replica artefacts that relate to the exhibition themes in the galleries! FREE with museum admission.
 
Wild Families - dotty About ducks! at RSPB Pulborough Brooks on Sunday 17 February 2013: Drop in between 10am -12.30pm.Go quackers and test your duck knowledge with our fun ‘Ducking and Diving’ quiz. The trail will take you down to one of our special hides where you’ll find our friendly helpers who’ll show you some of the amazing ducks and other wildlife out on the brooks.
Children's Workshop: Mosaic Mania! at The Novium, Chichester. Pre-booking required. Suitable for children 5 years and up. A hands-on art workshop to make a ceramic mosaic mirror frame to take home!
 
Bushcraft for Children at  Tilgate Park Half-term Holiday Club on Wednesday 20th February Popular day in the woods spent learning wilderness survival skills. Practice shelter building, fire lighting, tool making and identifying useful plants for food and medicine. Suitable for unaccompanied children.
 
Family Fun Days at Fishbourne Roman Palace. Come along and find out about life in Roman times. Lots of hands-on activities to try including pot and lamp making, making Roman bread, costumes, games and even Roman school!

Forest of Enchantment at  Petworth House and Park on Mon 18th, Tues 19th & Wed 20th February 2013. Bring your flouncy fairies and perky pixies to our enchanted indoor forest. Make leafy crowns, sparkly wands and mini woodland houses. These are just a few of the spellbinding activities on offer. Come dressed to enchant!
 
Winter Half Term Family Activities at Weald and Downland Open Air Museum. Put on your winter woollies and wellies, come to the Museum and warm up with a week of creative activities and countryside skills: outdoor trails, arts, crafts and ideas to inspire accompanied children of all ages. Under cover if wet.

Wallace and Gromit's Musical Marvels in Brighton 7th March 2013After a sellout show at 2012’s BBC Prom everyone’s favourite dynamic duo are heading on tour this Easter with their live, interactive show - Wallace and Gromit’s Musical Marvels.

Go behind the scenes as Wallace prepares for his musical masterpiece ‘My Concerto in Eee Lad’ with help from his faithful canine companion Gromit...what could go wrong? This unique experience features new specially filmed animations as well as live orchestral accompaniment from the Aurora Orchestra, who will be entertaining audiences with classical favourites by Mozart, Debussy and Stravinsky.
