Kids for a Quid Trains will operate on Tuesdays in August to the purple timetable using the historic 'Thumper' 1317. 'Thumper' was built in the 1960s and used to operate trains on the line until British Railways closed it 30yrs ago.  He has since been lovingly restored by dedicated volunteers and offers visitors a unique step back in time to an era when our railway was a bustling through route to major towns and cities in Kent & Sussex.
